EXPERT I ADMIRE

Abraham Maslow was born on April 1, 1908, in Brooklyn, New York. He was the first-born of seven children of Russian Jewish immigrant parents, Samuel Maslow and Rose Schilojsky.
After finishing his law degree, he decided to fulfill his true vocation and study psychology at the University of Wisconsin (Madison), graduating with his doctorate in 1964, with which he carried out several studies on subjects previously considered irrelevant, breaking schemes and consequently earning my admiration.

His greatest contribution to Public Administration was the drafting of his psycho-social theory, where he posed the needs as the engine of humanity, which, according to the servant paradigm, the State must satisfy in a cyclical process with its citizens.

HOW CAN YOUR MAJOR MAKE THE WORLD A BETTER PLACE

 My Major

Public administration is a major that prepares us to be the main managers of any decision or execution of the government as a physical representative of what we call State, seeking above all to provide greater support and benefit to the areas over which it has power.

In my case, if I had to choose an area in which I project myself as a public administrator that must be the creation of aids to improve the situation of the LGBTIQ+ community in my country, of which I’m a witness of its deprivation and neglect.

What makes especial this major is that its main function is to ensure the proper use of resources and the creation of efficient and comprehensive policies in all areas that protected by the state as a welfare entity, whether health, education, economy, defense, justice, etc...

A Photo and It's Story

The beautiful photo I chose signifies for me a before and after in my life, as it marks the turning point where everything crumbled into rubble of what was once a life of joy and happiness, before the onset of my OCD symptoms.

My interest in this photo lies in the fact that for me it is the perfect requiem to the wonderful life I once had, a life without medication, hospitals or problems.

On the other hand it is a photo that inspires me to work every day to regain the life I cherished so much, for this photo will not be the final swan song of my existence.

This photo was taken in Acapulco during a trip to Mexico that I took with my family in 2015, this photography frames the peak of my happiness and as I said before a requiem to the perfect life that I never knew I had until I lost it.

I hope you enjoyed it, see you soon
